THE CHALLENGES

Transport managed outside the ERP: planning lives in Excel or on paper, disconnected from the sales order. The carrier has no real-time visibility and disputes are settled by phone.

Double entry and data errors: transport orders are re-keyed by hand, creating gaps between orders, deliveries and invoices. Every error is a potential financial loss.

Delayed invoicing: 5 to 7 days between delivery and invoice, quantity errors and no automatic reminders: cash flow suffers.

Insufficient waste traceability: waste slips (BSD) and acceptance requests (DAP) handled manually, with no link between the collection order and the disposal site. A regulatory compliance risk.

Several companies, no consolidated view: different entities and countries on disconnected tools make real-time steering impossible.

From order to truck, with no double entry

① Order in Odoo

The customer orders N tonnes of materials or a waste collection service. On validation, Odoo splits the order into logistics slices: for example 300 T become 2 Delivery Orders of 150 T.

② Real-time sync

Each Delivery Order is sent automatically to the TMS through the API. The dispatcher sees it appear without typing anything.

③ Transport orders

The dispatcher (or the TMS) breaks each DO down into transport orders according to vehicle and availability: 150 T become 6 trips of 25 T. One order = one truck trip.

④ Delivery and invoicing

The driver validates, the eCMR is signed and the actual weight flows back into Odoo. The customer invoice and the carrier purchase order are generated automatically.
